Q. Is this site really FREE?

A. Yes!

Q. If a Spark is Closed, how long do I have to wait until I can Spark that member again?

A. 60 days from the Spark Closed On date.

Q. How do I delete my account?

A. Go to the Start Page and click on the Update Sign Up Info link. After entering in your password, click on the Delete My Account link. Painless!

Q. How accurate are your ZIP Code radius calculations?

A. Our distance calculations are all "straight line" calculations. So, if you draw a straight line we're 100% accurate. Our distances may differ from online mapping software. This is because online mapping software uses street and road data which we don't have.

Q. Why are some of my Open Sparks not rated in SPARKS Or NOT?

A. Both members of an Open Spark must have a primary photo posted in order to be included in SPARKS Or NOT. If one member or the other does not have a primary photo, then that match will not be rated. Also, each member must have SPARKS Or NOT enabled in their preferences as well.

Q. I don't want to be included in SPARKS Or NOT™. What can I do?

A. If you don't want your Open Sparks to be a part of the awesome SPARKS Or NOT™ phenomenon, just go to the Update Preferences link on the Start Pageand change this setting.

Q. Hey, my detected country is wrong! Are you a big dummy?!

A. We try our best to be as accurate as possible when detecting which country a member is from. It will always be difficult to detect someone's location and it will never be 100% accurate due to many factors. However, we feel confident in saying we're accurate somewhere in the upper 90 percentile.
This is just another dating site innovation which we added for you. You can use this info to protect yourself against scammers. If their profile's location and the detected country doesn't match up, it might mean sneaky business.
Please email us if you believe your detected country flag is wrong and should be changed!

Q. Who can see my photos if I set them to be private?

A. Any member in your Open Sparks folder can see your photos.
If you Spark someone, that member can immediately see your photos. In this way, the member can better decide if he/she wants to Open Communication with you.
If someone Sparks you, that member cannot see your photos until you decide to Open Communication by responding back appropriately.
